Genis Aci (literally 'wide angle' in English) Photography Magazine is an eight-year-old bimonthly photography publication which has taken its baby steps with the young members of Boğaziçi University Photography Club.

As a photography periodical, Genis Aci is acknowledged as a noteworthy art magazine with its interviews and critics on domestic and international photography events, exclusive interviews as well as the articles on many of the important figures in history of photography.

Domestically, Genis Aci differs from its likes with its reference to non-sectoral content and taking up the matters which are ignored by other magazines. Genis Aci, is also internationally applauded with its top-notch photography quality and the innovative contents.

Surveys show that Genis Aci meets with readers in a wide spectrum, ranging from amateurs to professionals along with people with interest in art but not specifically in photography.

Since 2001, Genis Aci holds a project 'Young Talents in Turkish Photography'; open to all photographers under 35 that are willing to submit a thematic portfolio of their own. Selected portfolios of the Young Talents meet with public in a special bilingual (Turkish/English) edition published independently from the periodical as well as a traveling exhibition.

As being a bimonthly published periodical, Genis Aci is put up for sale at the newspaper vendors and bookstores in Turkey.
